Research interests

Dr Alice Storey is Associate Professor of Human Rights at Birmingham City University. Her research focuses on the UN’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR)specifically examining how States and civil society engage with international human rightswith a focus on women’s rights and the abolition of the death penalty. She is the Academic Lead of the UPR Project at BCUshortlisted for a Times Higher Education Award in 2021
